Our company has been involved with most of the major construction projects throughout the State of Hawaii for over 40 years. Project Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager and staff in the planning and coordination of project requirements.
  • Assist with preparing estimates, prepare / submit RFI’s and manage the outcome.
  • Develop itemized materials list and request pricing quotes from vendors.
  • Understand and manage all project phases from initial pre-bid meetings to project completion.
  • Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
  • Monitor overall project construction budget, schedule and quality control.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and vendors.
  • Understanding of field operations and building material costs, ability to manage those costs.
  • Prepare take offs and pricing from site visit measurements and/or plans and specifications.
  • Monitor deadlines, manage budgets and summarize progress of project.
  • Review Schedule of Values for monthly billings, as required.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Computer skills and use of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge of building codes, estimating, budgeting and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of architectural design process and construction documents.
  • Strong organization, self-management, leadership and people skills.
  • Understanding of field operations and building material costs, ability to manage those costs.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Efficient, results oriented, resilient, flexible and goal oriented.
  • Well organized and able to multi-task.
  • Teamwork and strong problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • BA/BS degree with construction/architecture related curriculum is a plus, but not required.
  • CAD and Fast-Track experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation: Full benefits package including medical, dental, 401k plan, vacation and holiday pay. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Assistant Project Manager

Shop Fabricator

Primary Responsibilities:
Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
Starting salary will depend on experience level.

Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Layout, measure, cut and fabricate custom metal systems.
  • Aluminum and Stainless Steel (TIG & MIG) welding experience helpful, but not required.
  • Forklift operation a plus
  • Some heavy lifting and moving of material.
  • General shop and tool cleaning.

Compensation:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: $15.00 to $30.00 /hour


Shop Driver

  • Valid Hawaii State Driver's License
  • Must provide a clean current driver's abstract (no previous traffic violations)
  • Familiarity with Oahu's streets
  • Clean Pre-employment drug screening
  • CDL license not required, but helpful

Job Description:

  • Able to drive a flatbed truck, standard and automatic vehicles.
  • Able to drive and operate forklift.
  • Deliver materials to jobsite, airport, piers, etc.
  • Able to safely tie down loads to trucks.
  • Some heavy lifting and moving of materials/equipment may be required.
  • Light shop work -- including but not limited to drilling, wrapping and crating.
  • Miscellaneous errands for shop and office.
  • Light housekeeping in shop and around the building. (Sweeping, store parts, etc.)
  • Light maintenance of vehicles. (Check fluid gauges, keep vehicles clean, etc.)
  • Other miscellaneous shop duties.

Expected Work Hours:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (10 hour + work days as needed)
  • Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (as needed)

Compensation:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: $14.00 to $16.00 /hour
